Per hive or system wide

Each hive can operate it’s own reserve system, like a micro-bank. This means each hive carries its own currency and inventory risk and this is not outsourced reducing contagion risk.

Third parties will be able in the future to provide hosted reserves.

Payment Flow

A common payment flow might be as follows: (See diagram below.)

  1. Content consumer purchases access to content (by buying credits from StoryFuel reserve). Their means of payment (HOT, Ether, Bitcoin, etc.) remains held in a Reserve Account, which enables that account to transfer the credits to the consumers account.

  2. Creators or Referrers signed service logs as they provide content to people accessing the hive through their web browsers or desktops.

  3. Creators or Referrers submits a Proof-of-Service invoice to the reserves when they accumulate a chunk of content distribution rewards in their log.

  4. Reserve Account pays the Creators or Referrers in hosting credits after validating the Proof-of-Service.

  5. Creators or Referrers might opt to cash out their hosting credits from the Reserve Account where the original payment was made. Cashing out will be in cryptocurrency initially

  6. A Creators or Referrer can only cash out credits earned in a hive.
